Reported on GitHub: — Windows built the local file URIs as file://C:\... instead of file:///C:/..., so every image read from disk silently fell back to a placeholder. Fixed in 0.14.0 (util::image_uri).

I'm on version 0.13.1 zapfast-git on linux. I dont see any view status option, to me it only shows pin, mute, info, copy number...

Thanks for the development, I'm interested in creating one for Telegram, with the ability to log into your 3-4 accounts. Telegram uses a lot of RAM on a Mac, and this is my pain as a Telegram user.

Curious about the backend — how are you communicating with WhatsApp under the hood? Are you using an existing Rust implementation of the WhatsApp Web protocol, or did you implement/reverse-engineer the protocol yourself?

It is burning ~90% cpu on @OmarchyLinux while sitting idle on a workspace I am not on. I am not submitting a pr on GitHub because it will just be my Claude results which may or may not be right. Thought I would share and thank you for the app!

Thanks for this! I switched from ZapZap (1.3 GB RAM) to your app and I'm amazed at how efficient it is. Averaging 128 MB RAM is huge great work on the optimization. Testing it on Fedora 44 KDE and it runs beautifully. Really impressive stuff!

I've noticed an issue where channel messages that has unknown title and individual chats are appearing together in the main chat list without any separation or distinction. Can you look this or known issue?

If only it supported calls,i use whatsapp mainly to call people.

well.. the collapsible side bar seems to just remove it entirely rather than just minimize it (so I can still select different messages) the hyprland optimisation so it works perfectly with tiling managers so the app resizes properly and doesnt break. so I can have it in any orientation I need it to be the other questions you have answered.

i tested it, i think may be awesome if we can reply a message by double clicking the message or the row around it and click inside a conversation (in any place of a conversation) should automatically put the cursor in the "Type a message" input

👏 Probably lacks the surveillance/data harvesting “features” that the Meta client has, like stealing your Contacts/address book data. Server-side, The Borg will still harvest as much info as they can, of course. Can measures be taken to hide link preview data from them?
