I can no longer walk around a city without seeing a machine-readable 3D model in my head. This is a geometric and semantic 3D model of San Francisco. These maps connect the world of bits and atoms, enabling visual positioning, 3D navigation and geospatial intelligence.

If you use the /3d command in Omma, it will generate a 3D model and automatically place it in a 3D scene, all in one shot. The resulting GLB model is automatically compressed and optimized. (demo on this thread)

I had an early access to GPT-6 Astra and I can say, everyone in the world now has a 3D designer at their fingertips. I gave it an image of a house and asked to create it in 3D with all the details including toys, appliances and furniture. This a full 3D model reconstruction in Blender with geometry that you can manually tweak and run 60fps as a locally rendered "game" on device.

A quick test of using 3d drawing with 6DOF controllers as an "instructor" for a generative AI process. There's so many powerful and fun new ways to create just around the corner.. Here I'm using Dreams, Krea and 3daistudio. The 3d model at the end of the video was generated from the Dreams+Krea output in just around 15 seconds. Only the model on the left is a "true" 3d model. #ai #madeindreams

I love 3d maps like this because they’re inherently an abstraction of reality. Unlike 3d scans, the goal isn’t to create a 1:1 mirror world. The goal is to create a stylized distillation down to its visual essence, so you can recognize it effortlessly.
