Blip is a fully scriptable game engine, like Roblox, but designed to let you create all kinds of games directly on mobile (yes, including real-time multiplayer experiences). The current voxel aesthetic comes from the "programmable Minecraft" original prototype legacy. We only recently added support for standard textured 3D models.

All games on the platform are scripted in Luau (the exact same syntax as in Roblox). The API is different though, simpler and tailored for generative AI. Our mission is to enable a much wider audience of creators with the ability to make games, and make them fast. 🔥

This is really cool. If you never got a chance to check out Wonderbox on Apple Arcade (before Epic Games purchased the company) check out some of the videos online. Their building tools were pretty intuitive particularly for younger audiences.

this is great! question though, why is "code" even shown or mentioned? I guess this is a broader question for vibe coding as a whole. I mean, it's clear this is not intended for coding (which would be very hard on a phone anyway), so why is code still around for the user?

That's a good question. A bunch of our users will still want to use the system in a hybrid way, generating code but also committing manual changes. (it's actually not so bad on the phone when you don't have to code everything) One sure thing is that will soon have a lot less code to display, when we'll start processing diffs instead of full modified code outputs. And then, maybe we can display it in a playful way, with symbols or something. Either way, I feel like it's better to see a stream of words / symbols, even if not reading them, compared to any other kind of loading animation in that context.
