The more I think about it the less this whole thing makes sense. It's not 'vile speculation' - it's normal human behaviour to wonder what has happened to a fellow citizen in such strange circumstances @polblonde

Yeah anybody remember Claudia Lawrence or Sarah west..? Missing & never found.. it’s too easy police saying #NicolaBulley fell in river.. do some proper investigation..

Something's not right with this story. Perhaps they are saying this hoping that an abductor or worse slips up?

Its not that difficult to grasp is it. We don’t trust the police anymore. We don’t trust them to fully investigate anything that might bring about an arrest. We are very worried that a conclusion was reached so quickly on why she disappeared. It would have been better to hold of

There's no need to conceal evidence of an accident so we can assume they don't have any. To admit that they jumped to this conclusion because her stuff was on the bench which is near the water, would be utterly humiliating. They've lost all credibility from where I'm standing.

He’s talking a lot of sense

My late father was a Forensic Detective and would definitely be critical of the police, and the numerous failings so far. Have all the caravans on this nearby site been searched ? Who is loving there? What about the caravan park owners - have they been checked out?

If it was an accident Nicola would have been found by now !! Police are clutching at straws with these ridiculous statements !! They're are utterly useless !!

Brilliant. So now we are running major investigations on social media with an expert armchair investigation team basing their theories on what they’ve read on the internet. Crazy times.

Police have wasted so much time getting the professional sonar dive team in! Any DNA evidence on her body (if she was killed) will be long gone by now! They will prob find her body & say ‘definitely an accident’ (even if they suspect foul play) just to protect their reputation!!
