I can’t get over how these houses just get left like that

This is true, too. I know a house that was basically abandoned on a lake in 2022. Stuff was taken, but many things were left in place. Like, did the family die or something.

Tragic, isn't it? It's a reminder of our mortality. It's the beginning of a once home becoming a ruin. It's loss. It's entropy.

Agreed. Like what happened that people just leave all their belongings and never come back.
