I feel like Dread has some moments of Samus at her coolest. The dev team must really like her and the game is better for it!

@spankzilla85 For me it is up there with the scene from Samus Returns where she checks the Power Bomb upgrade, and without breaking her line of sight with it she aims her cannon sideways at the damaged Diggernaut like "Oh you're still up, let me fix that" and blasts it to kingdom come.

I appreciate that they didnt just have Samus blast it down. She had a plan to use the already broken structure to make the creature take itself out. Just proper placement and a well placed shot was all she needed. The results of an experienced hunter.

Samus is effortlessly cool in most of the cutscenes in Dread, almost makes up for the travesty that was her characterisation in Other: M…… almost

This game put Samus right up there with the Doom Slayer as the only silent protags I genuinely love.

After watching a whole retrospective on Samus’ history it really delivers her energy of experience and no nonsense, especially when it comes to the confidence in her abilities, not overestimating but being badass when it counts 💪

This was the moment I was like, "Samus is finally back." Nothing against Smash, but the high heels stuff, the Other M stuff, the way they tried so hard to make the armor look more female and sexualized her... I was so happy she got to be this badass after all that.
