The “polling” has little to do with voter sentiment and much more to do with candidates being able to accumulate larger campaign donations. It’s why they skew Democrat. Without inflated numbers, the big money LA/NYC/Silicon Valley donors would be few and far between.

Polls have never been super accurate. But they've been less than useless for at least a decade. The only reason they still exist is because people in both parties think they can sway voters with them.
