Dude that's so nice, I guess you can also do a little js to check if # is lower than previous and apply a CSS class to run an opposite animation? wonder how long it'll be before we can use it. Still waiting for houdini properties and values,

i could def make it go back the other way, fun idea! if you want the animation for every browser, you need to wait, but if you're down to progressively enhance, then you can start today. here's one where i progressively enhance it

I thought it only worked for navigating to a different pages. What do you mean by morph?

there's 2 types of view transitions! you're referring to the MP (multipage) type, which is still behind a flag in Canary. this is the SPA type, aka the javascript API, which is in Chrome stable. same idea, just a different trigger: - MPA triggered by page nav - SPA by JS 👍🏻
