It has been stated that this pandemic may run for up to a DECADE. Accepting the hybrid immunity, proinfection strategy means people inevitably #leftbehind. Not just the medically vulnerable, but ANYONE who does not want Long Covid, which affects around 5% of infected. @AlboMP

I've been left behind. I'm the mother of a 9yo in remission There are no protections for her at school and she is not eligible for a 3rd dose. We've already suffered the trauma of cancer, now the trauma of COVID impacts our mental health @DanielAndrewsMP @MaryAnneThomas

If “nobody left behind” is true, why are the immune compromised & their families essentially locked in their homes? Why are health systems around country under massive strain? Why are businesses struggling because they can’t get staff or ones they have keep getting sick?

This is the kicker for me - on top of people getting repeatedly sick, if #COVID isn't exceptional then why are we seeing these knock on effects elsewhere like never before? The effects to the Health Care System are dangerous for all - both HCWs & patients.

Dr Cartledge. We also have to consider those left behind my society shutting down for 2 years. Children, businesses, elective surgery, elderly, lonely, dying The exclusive focus on Covid was one of the gravest errors of the pandemic response

Dr Ranjit. I agree that these groups were affected by #COVID. Extreme measures were taken when we didn't know what we were dealing with. Now it's time to use the tools in our tool box (masks, ventilation/clean air, test, iso) to keep EVERYONE safer including the vulnerable.
