I can’t watch it without sobbing

First time I watched it in theaters I could hardly make out what was going on during this scene because of how hard I was crying

Everytime I listen to this song this scene instantly comes to mind like it’s just that ingrained in my head now

It really felt like a send off to the MCU, like, as it used to be. To the movies before all the floundering that let this amazing trilogy happen. I watched this and just thought "I'm ok with this as the end to the MCU".

Grandpa recognizing Peter instantly despite being missing for several decades

The best part about this scene is that James Gunn did the motion capture for Groot (in this scene) while Sean Gunn did the motion capture for Rocket, so in a trilogy about family, the story ends with 2 brothers dancing face to face

James gunn really took C list heroes and made them a household name and gave them arguably the best trilogy in the mcu (my favorite)

Best MCU movie post IW

I love GOTG 3 so much but on my life I can't watch it as frequently as 1 and 2. It emotionally wrecks me every time so it's reserved for particular occasions.
