It always blows me away that one of the deepest and grounded people in entertainment makes his money by dropping rapid fire, crass one liners. I'm sure there is a "book by it's cover" lesson here.

Every time I overcome a challenge I'm just tired and wish i could have found an easier way. I derive joy from different things. I'm happy to just sit and watch most of the time. Challenges are just chores with more stress. Necessary but just a bridge to something else.

Talk is cheap. I guess he gets self esteem from tax avoidance, which is his choice. He obviously saw all the money he had earned and wanted to keep it for himself, why not. Ricky Gervais OTOH has made vastly more than Jimmy Carr but still pays his taxes in full.

Part of Jimmy Carr's stand up routine during 2021 onwards was mocking and ridiculing anybody in the crowd who didn't take the vax cine. Wish we had clips of that...

This was one of the best podcast interviews I have ever listened too, was about a year or two ago. It almost re-wired how I thought of the world.
