🐱 i received this song while i was on vacation in cebu during our long break. there was a big speaker in the room, so i connected it to my phone and i told my friends "we're each getting solo tracks, and i actually got two. wanna hear one?" so i played it and when i was hearing them through those huge speakers, 'bird of night' just sounded so much better, like overwhelmingly better. 🐱 when i imagined it on stage, the other song felt kind of familiar but 'bird of night' had this all-or-nothing kind of risky energy, so i decided to go with this. the other song felt like something i could just do a certain way and it would turn out fine, and i realised i didn't want that 🐱 sure, i could've picked something i could prep quickly and pull off easily, but this was my first solo song and i wanted it to be something different. i figured that if i do it right, it could turn out to be really cool, so i went with this one
