The comment section was on fire! So many of you responded with great insight, support and love for my guests Mellanie Monroe and Nikole Mitchell. I had so much fun talking to you guys- I have the best community ever. I will admit, I wasn’t sure how you all would respond to my new material; this podcast is a real passion of mine and I wanted to dig deeper into bigger topics that centred the things that matter to me. You all embraced this direction with so much love and positivity; the part I love most about that is how we have been able to get to know each other more. 🐱 i received this song while i was on vacation in cebu during our long break. there was a big speaker in the room, so i connected it to my phone and i told my friends "we're each getting solo tracks, and i actually got two. wanna hear one?" so i played it and when i was hearing them through those huge speakers, 'bird of night' just sounded so much better, like overwhelmingly better. 🐱 when i imagined it on stage, the other song felt kind of familiar but 'bird of night' had this all-or-nothing kind of risky energy, so i decided to go with this. the other song felt like something i could just do a certain way and it would turn out fine, and i realised i didn't want that 🐱 sure, i could've picked something i could prep quickly and pull off easily, but this was my first solo song and i wanted it to be something different. i figured that if i do it right, it could turn out to be really cool, so i went with this one

250714 #GISELLE Instagram Live : have you seen my elle photoshoot? i did a photoshoot for the august issue of elle. what happened was, i was talking with one of the loewe unnies about how i’d been wanting to bring cooper here to live with me, and i was already planning to bring him soon anyway. and then, it just so happened that the photoshoot was around that time… so i was like, ‘oh? it’d be so nice to do it together.’ because honestly, it’s something i’d kind of dreamed about for a long time. even before i had cooper, i used to think that one day, when i got older, i’d really love to do something like that. so i’m really, really thankful to elle and loewe for making that happen. i was so happy. and cooper came out so cute in the photos, so please look forward to the issue! we took a bunch of adorable pics this time.

I am so grateful for this journey and for every single one of you who has chosen to be here with us. Thank you for every follow, every like, every comment, but even more than that, thank you for every smile and every “hi” I get on the roads of Ala Igbo and beyond. It genuinely blows my mind that simply sharing our family life can connect with so many people.
