A waste of a genius by several England managers. Team should have been built around him.

I've watched that goal v Oxford Utd hundreds of times - it was on a Spurs VHS tape I bought, '6 of the best' I think it's called - & I still can't work out what exactly Glenn Hoddle did in that shimmy to bamboozle those defenders. The perfect goal for me.

Fantastic footballer and one of England’s better managers too until he was forced out for admittedly some odd opinions but what ultimately had no bearing on his abilities as a manager. Hope he’s keeping well these days too after his health scare from a couple of years ago.⚽️

First player I ever watched on TV as a kid and got me hooked on football…England team should have been built around him & Robson for a decade until passing the baton onto Gazza in the creative dept…great montage of goals that sum up his talent & brings back memories
