@fnacorner The mass of intrinsic foot musculature is considerable. Sitting between the bones of the foot and the plantar fascia, one would expect the intrinsic mass to help reduce shearing forces in the bony arch.

It’s amazing, but you are missing inversión, eversión, and rotation. Those moments really challenge the biomechanics of the foot.
