I couldn't believe this Catholic apologist actually made this claim. Hello rich young ruler.

You're defeatist attitude is pathetic. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” With the grace of Jesus Christ we can defeat sin Do you think we can't, you do not have complete trust in Jesus Christ.

So you don't believe all thing are possible through Jesus Christ??

Keeping the law cannot justify, it simply brings the knowledge of sin: Romans 3:20 - "For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin."

@selina_mcd13 Ethan bringing the heat. 🔥🔥🔥

Lol. The fact that you think this is him trusting in himself shows you don’t understand the Gospel. He literally says “through the Grace of Christ working in me.” This is called boasting in the Lord as St. Paul encouraged and did himself: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Phil 4:13) “I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.” (1 Cor 15:10) “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” (2 Cor 10:17) “for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” (Phil 2:13) Christ died to bring us the grace to obey and overcome sin not a license to continue in it. A Christian falls into sin when he fails to cooperate with grace NOT because grace cannot possibly keep him from falling.

Unfortunately Ryan, You preach an "Impossible Gospel". You claim no one can do these things and would also claim it was of no use for Jesus to tell the woman in adultery "Go forth and sin no more" for she is not capable of doing it...

Rayn - what did Christ teach about eternal life? Why do you avoid this question so much?

You really do not believe God can work through a person. Just snow covered dung all around.

The Apostle Paul also spoke on this: "I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose." (Galatians 2:21)

Have you even read the story of the rich young ruler? If you think the lesson was that you cannot obey the commandments, you cannot be further from the truth! Matthew 19:16–30 16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” 17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to him,“Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, 19 Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 20 The young man said to him, “All these things I have kept. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 22 When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. 23 And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, tonly with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Notice how you skip the "and who contempt of others "..... So you completely skip the purpose of the story is calling out other and thinking your better..

Pretty dishonest to bring up rich young ruler and supplant your response over Christ's. Christ literally tells him to follow the Commandments, to forsake all, and follow him.

Well if you can keep the law, why is the savior and an atonement needed in Catholicism?

Anyone who says they keep the law I always bring them to John 13:34-35 John 13:34-35 [34] A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. [35] By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” This is a commandment from Jesus to love one another. But not just to love them. He says “As I Have Loved You. You ALSO are to love one another.” Jesus walked in perfect love towards us. Jesus is giving a commandment to walk in perfect love. That is in action, word, and in thoughts towards ALL people including God and self. No one except God has and can walk in perfect love. This is why Jesus came to live a perfect life for us. To die on the cross for us. To take the wrath of God for us. And because he loves us and He is Rich in Grace and Mercy he gives us eternal life as a FREE gift. Because he is good. We deserve wrath and punishment as sinners. But anyone who will trust in Jesus that he paid your sin debt in full on the cross that person will be made to be a new creation in Christ. No longer is it I who lives but Christ in me the hope of Glory. Anyone who says they walk in perfect love is a liar. Galatians 2:20-21 [20] I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. [21] I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. Ephesians 2:8-9 [8] For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, [9] not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

American Protestants are neo hugenots

I think your response would have been stronger if you addressed “…through the grace of Jesus Christ…”.

Ryan: "Christ is POWERLESS to transform me into righteousness. I cannot do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I cannot fully obey God by the grace given to me." How inspiring.

This is so snide, effeminate, and just wrong.

Ryan said "hello rich young ruler" as if the problem with the rich young ruler wasn't the fact that he loved his riches more than God. On his own, he can't love God more than his riches, but "with God all things are possible". Is loving God not included in "all things"?

I have no idea how old you are but you're young enough to not know what you don't know. You need to go study actual theology because the stuff you put out is actually embarrassing.

You got dominated the entire debate, I can’t believe you are willingly posting part of it.

You can’t believe it because your biblically illiterate and a fraud

You got absolutely cooked in this debate.

Wow, very telling. God bless you Ryan. Keep spreading the truth!

Ethan said he could do it with God’s help. In any case, Jesus gave us Confession for when we fall, which is real assurance.

As Ryan ironically elevates himself

Just by saying it, He’s already violated it: pride

You were like 10 levels out of your league

Just a few verses before we know Paul was talking about the Mosaic laws: Galatians 2:15 “We who are JEWS* by birth and not sinful Gentiles..” Galatians 2:17 “But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we JEWS*..” Stop conflating hope, love and repentance with Mosaic laws.

Isn’t this considered pride? I would consider your content demonic. You blaspheme Christ and His body.

Clip farming a nice dialogue? Maybe you guys should debate lol

Paul is pretty explicit that we have to love and in doing so fulfill the law of Christ

Muse schooled you.

Those who claim they deserve heaven aren’t really saved.

Exept God encourages us in that His law is not too difficult, foreign, or impossible to accomplish and so expects us to do it with success. Deut 30:11-14 Or are you to say scripture lied about God's standard & expectation of us?
