@TechTarget Python teaches you all the proper software development principles with its beautiful syntax 😂 C#, JavaScript, Dart, practically everyone: (x) => { return x ** 2 } python: lambda x: x ** 2

@TechTarget I think it's commonly agreed that Python bakes in some of the worst programming anti-patterns into its syntax. Not to mention a complete lack of expressiveness. Add on the giant design flaws that make it impossible to achieve any reasonable performance and Python is a huge dud

@TechTarget You might think that because if its low performance overhead and incredible speed, as opposed to slow and verbose languages like Python, but in fact, Java is alive and well!

@TechTarget I will be sharing the top three reasons why Java may not be suitable for everyone: 1.- Contrary to popular belief, Java is not easy to learn. It has evolved into a multi-paradigm language that requires you to learn functional, declarative and OOP concepts over time.

@TechTarget Which popular language does only OOP without doing any functional programming at all? And vice versa? Can't the same thing be said for every major programming language in existence? 🤷‍♀️

@TechTarget With Oracle's complex licensing and audits, I think the future is not too bright for Java. In my surroundings Java is business exception only....

@TechTarget None of that is an issue with other distros like OpenJDK. That's like saying Linux has no future because IBM licenses Fedora.
