I didn't expect the workflow to be the part that stayed with me. I found myself watching the project come together instead of waiting for the final result. Seeing the plan, tasks, and progress update in one place made everything surprisingly easy to follow. That was the part I... show more

On the topic of disturbing game quests, Red Dead Redemption 2 definitely had its fair share of quests that still creep me out me and the first one that comes to mind is the Man-made Mutant. I remember when I discovered this place for the first time thinking to myself that I found an enterable house just to find this horrifying man-made mutant.

One of the reasons I love my job is I never know what the next project is going to be. I am incredibly proud and honored to have been part of the team that put this together.

Cain Velasquez speaks candidly about the decision he made to protect his child and the consequences that came with it: "I did what I did, and it wasn't right. At the same time, everything that happened was part of my journey. I have to live with what I did, but if I hadn't done anything, I think that would've hurt me the most. If my child had ever looked at me and said, 'You didn't do anything,' that would've been the hardest thing for me to live with."

Ricky Williams says he returned to the NFL in large part because the Dolphins sued him for $8,000,000 “I came back to the NFL partially because the Dolphins sued me for eight million dollars. But also the NFL kept asking me to come back” “So I came back, and it was weird. I was still in the NFL drug program, but nobody ever talked about it. And one time, one of the people in the media and he said, ‘You ever think about smoking weed?” “And I was just being honest. I was like, ‘I think about that shit all the time.’ Then it kind of came up, and the coach told me, ‘Don't be a distraction.’ But other than that, everyone pretended like it didn't happen”

I honoured the position I found myself in & proud of how I led the group during a difficult period. I was true to who I am & what I stand for. I thank the players for believing, the progress was there to be seen even if the results didn't match the performance levels.

Everything has happened before. Everything is repeated. But the mistake that had the biggest effect on me was in 1982. I had calculated that American banks had lent a lot of money to a bunch of countries that would not be able to pay it back. Mexico defaulted in August 1982, and while I was right about that part, I was completely wrong about the market. I thought the stock market was going to go down, but it went up because the Federal Reserve eased. I didn't just miss. I was publicly wrong and lost everything. I lost my company and all the people who worked for me—people who were like family. I was the only one left. I had to borrow $4,000 from my dad just to help pay my family bills. It was one of the most painful experiences I have ever had, but it was also one of the best. It completely changed my attitude about decision-making. It taught me to move from thinking "I'm right" to asking myself, "How do I know I'm right?" #RayDalio #Principles #Mindset #BusinessLessons

The best part about not being allowed in the mainstream, is without that easy money I have to work hard and be creative to pay the bills. And I do!

AOC: "I made a deal with myself and it was that I would do this as long as I could remain myself and the day that I could no longer do this and be myself is the day that I leave. Part of this process is being myself, this moment."

The scariest part of getting laid off wasn’t losing the paycheck. It was realizing I didn’t want to go back to engineering. I’d been a software engineer for six years when it ended. I kept opening Figma instead of my code editor. At some point, I had to be honest with myself. A year later, I have: - clients I love - a YouTube channel that brings in work - a wedding app I’m designing and building myself - projects I get to work on with my husband Chris None of this was in the plan when I got that layoff email, so cheers to the first year of many❤️

"I try to make films that have the greatest possibility of pleasing myself, and I am certain that, the more beautiful they are, the more they please me." --- Michelangelo Antonioni Full Excerpt: "I certainly think about the public in the sense that I need someone to show what I have done, with whom I can communicate. However, I don't consider that the public influences me. If I made films for the public, shouldn't I make them for money or for glory? One makes films by thinking only about films and above all not about that sort of thing. Cam Newton says his biggest mistake late in his career was believing being Cam Newton was enough “This is the facts, and this is why the gift is the curse. My own worst enemy will always be me. I done jumped in some messed up situations. This ain’t no remorse. This ain’t no, ‘I want somebody to feel sorry for me.’” “This is me acknowledging that I understand. I’ll own up to jumping into some messed up situations. The New England experience was a messed up situation. I was still learning the offense seven to eight weeks into the season.” “As a quarterback, you have to look the part, act the part and be the part. There was countless hours with people trying to teach me certain things, and it was just brain overload.” “There were times I’m going to the line and I’m still thinking. I’m thinking about the enunciation of the play. I’m thinking about my motions. I’m thinking about my sight adjust.” “Did I know it? Yes. To the degree that I needed to know it in order to show the world that I’m still Cam Newton? No.” “But I put myself in that situation.” “Now Carolina, I put myself in another messed up situation. I was signed on Thursday. I played on Sunday. At what point did you think you were going to be successful?” “That next week I started. That’s still under ten days of you being on a team, and you’re still trying to learn an offense. Before I sit up here and allow the narrative to be made that Cam ain’t got it no more, Cam is taking full responsibility and saying that Cam put himself in a messed up situation.” “Which then had a ricochet effect to people thinking I was done.”
