On the topic of disturbing game quests, Red Dead Redemption 2 definitely had its fair share of quests that still creep me out me and the first one that comes to mind is the Man-made Mutant. The scariest part of getting laid off wasn’t losing the paycheck. It was realizing I didn’t want to go back to engineering. I’d been a software engineer for six years when it ended. I kept opening Figma instead of my code editor. At some point, I had to be honest with myself. A year later, I have: - clients I love - a YouTube channel that brings in work - a wedding app I’m designing and building myself - projects I get to work on with my husband Chris None of this was in the plan when I got that layoff email, so cheers to the first year of many❤️

👤 they're really curious about why you decided to play the songs for the younger members beforehand for 'part 2’ even though you kept them completely hidden from them until the release for 'part 1’ 👤 they also said you’ve always seemed like someone who puts a lot of pressure on yourself to be perfect, so they’re wondering what your mindset was like this time 🦊 i think that’s actually really accurate. back when i was working on part 1, i always felt like i had to be perfect. i kept telling myself “i have to do everything perfectly” and i put a lot of pressure on myself 🦊 so during part 1, i don't think i showed it to the members until i myself really felt ready, literally not until the release day itself 🦊 but during part 2, those thoughts kind of got filtered through, and i realized that trying to be perfect was actually the path that took me further away from perfection. and once i became aware of that, i started wanting to learn instead and if you look at the lyrics too, there’s line "it's okay to just be that way" 🦊 after i started telling myself that, i felt a lot more at ease. i think that’s why i wanted to lean on the members a little more and let them hear the songs beforehand
