I didn’t know Ben Affleck was this smart 🧐 What he said here about streaming services reminded me of this Forbes video about it ruining music, and why artists with billions of streams don’t make as much money as Beyoncé. Streaming numbers basically add no value to the artist

JasonTheWeen reacted to Clav criticizing his island streams Clav basically said Jason shouldn’t have even done the streams, claiming it was a waste of time and that he didn’t make enough money from it. That comment instantly caught Jason’s attention Jason was visually not happy about clav statement, and he said he was happy with what he did and doesn’t care what clav had to say about it “Hey man it’s the year of torture like I said, that island changed my life, now I feel like I can survive wherever I am”

Melissa Barrera thinks Scream 7 box office numbers were much lower and Paramount “lied about the numbers” “I don’t think it made that much money.” “The only way they were able to make that movie after what happened was to nostalgia-bait as much as possible."

I was amused watching this Miguel interview with Shannon Sharpe talking about how musicians now want an artist-owned streaming service Wasn’t that why Jay-Z launched Tidal? He warned them but they didn’t listen. They all backed Spotify and Apple Music. And now here we are 🤣 I’m glad he also pointed out how streaming has devalued the art of music and how pure sales still makes the most money.

Clavicular CRASHED OUT after a fan said he only streams for the MONEY 💰❤️‍🩹 “All you care about is money? You think this is a passion product… project? Of course, all I care about is money.” “What are you talking about? Why else would I be streaming? You think I like doing this, going to these club events every single day? It’s the same thing every time. I hate it, I don’t wanna do it. At least I’m honest with you.”

ROSALÍA explained why her new album doesn’t have a more obvious sound, like R&B or rock. “It’s just that, for me, I make music, um, also thinking about what I would like to hear. And I really love classical music, and I thought, maybe there isn’t as much presence of that in my… uh, not as much presence of that kind of music around me as there was when I was in college studying music. So I was like, ‘Hm, I want to, you know, make the effort to listen to more classical music, and why not make an album inspired by that and highlight how amazing this tradition is?’ But yeah, I think every album is an excuse to, um, get closer to things I don’t know, to things I feel I don’t know enough about yet.”

Akademiks says the music industry is changing, with artists making a lot of money from other places outside of their label. Ak says Youngboy earned $70 million from his tour, way more than his $35 million label deal for a few albums. Akademiks says this is a problem for labels, who rely on sales and streams to make back their money. But bigger artists can make millions per show without needing the label much. Ak says labels are pushing the streaming services to raise prices to boost streaming revenue as a way to counteract this.

🚨 Wayno says hip-hop fans have become way too obsessed with using tour numbers and money to argue about artists Wayno says Kendrick’s touring numbers are impressive, but that kind of success isn’t something he personally uses to decide how he feels about the music. He points out that Drake toured with Cole and 21 Savage too, and says he doesn’t remember people making the same kind of conversation out of those numbers. “I don’t really care about the money a person makes via their craft as to what makes them better or not.” He says artists like Lupe Fiasco and Styles P are still some of his favorites without him ever needing to know what they made on tour. “We live in this metric driven society for everything.”

BREAKING: Trump was just confronted about his involvement with the MemeCoin $Trump, and his response was as baffling as it was infuriating. When asked about the cryptocurrency tied to his name, he brushed it off, claiming he didn’t know much about it. Seriously? The reporter pressed further, pointing out that $Trump has reportedly generated billions of dollars, and how did Trump respond? By shrugging it off like it was a casual, meaningless drop in the bucket. Billions. Of. Dollars.

I don’t think very highly of him as a journalist as it is, but Greg A. Bedard saying people don’t care about the Vrabel-Russini story is idiotic. Felger schooled him with the numbers and he still didn’t see it. No wonder he was forced to start his own website. Boston Radio Watch®️

The reason stans get so mad at the BeyHive and at Beyoncé, and try so hard to diminish her legacy, is because they cannot handle the fact that even with all the streams and sales their faves have over Beyoncé, they are still not rated above her 🤣🤣. They forget that Beyoncé being an artist from the 90s plays a huge role in that. So many of us became fans at a time when we didn’t know what Billboard charts were and didn’t care. It was an era where talent and impact were the real markers of an artist. That is why most of us don’t back down when they pull out streams or charts to downplay her achievements 😂😂. We genuinely do not care. So they resort to lies like “she is not known in this or that country” and then try to use streaming numbers as proof. Meanwhile, we still don’t care, because we don’t use streaming as a yardstick for anything. And that longevity Beyoncé has also trickles down to the GP cos she’s still in the public consciousness. It is why the jokes about “she’s not known here” never land. They will say it today and next week a locally respected figure from that country will reference her 😂. They just cannot connect the dots.

THE LIE: Trump dodges the question on child care. THE TRUTH: Trump lays out the importance of child care and then talks about what he will do to make it more affordable in this video. Kamala HQ intentionally leaves this out in their transcript of what Trump said he would do to cut the expense of child care. Here is what he said: "I'm talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they're not used to, but they'll get used to it very quickly." "And it's not gonna stop them from doing business with us, but they'll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country." "Those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we're talking about, including childcare." "We're gonna be taking in trillions of dollars and as much as childcare is talked about as being expensive, it's relatively speaking not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers we'll be taking in."

ROSALÍA revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that Bono from U2 reached out to her to talk about a new song inspired by her: “I don’t know Bono, but he messaged me and said he had this project, a new song, ‘The Mirror Maker’, I think that’s the name. And then he asked me if some of the words he wanted to use made sense. One word, actually, came to mind. There was this word, ‘marmole’… I think, as far as I remember, it was ‘mamole’. And I don’t know, I thought, ‘I’ve never heard this word. I don’t know what it means.’ So I looked it up, I did some research, and it didn’t exist in standard Spanish. So I just said to him, ‘I don’t know, but feel free to invent your own language.’ It’s incredible. It’s kind of mind-blowing. Yeah. Because when I was a kid, I used to listen to his songs. ‘With or Without You’. It’s incredible.”
