These were some good lads, and I’d like to think I won them over in the end! 🇬🇧 So many young people have been indoctrinated throughout the entire education system and taught what to think instead of how to think. Most have never even been exposed to opposing views or had their ideas properly challenged. That’s why grassroots conversations and public debates matter so much. It’s up to those of us in the know to break things down, ask difficult questions, challenge narratives, and undo the brainwashing that so many young people have been subjected to for years. Respect to these lads for actually engaging, listening, and having a respectful conversation. That alone puts them ahead of most young people!

As part of the British Council's Learning Sectors supported by Formula 1 programme, a group of 24 teachers and students, made up of two winning teams of UK secondary school students went behind the scenes at the British Grand Prix to experience the joy of F1, learn about motorsport careers and see STEM skills in action. Learning Sectors started in January 2025 and works with young people aged seven to 16 in 700 schools across Brazil, India, South Africa, and the UK aims to inspire students around the world to get involved in science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) subjects. Students from The Royal School, Wolverhampton and St Martin’s School, Caerphilly were treated to a once in a lifetime experience where they enjoyed fan zone activations and exclusive tours of the Paddock and Event Technical Centre along with a pit lane walk.
