Tickets are an expensive expense for most of us. My extended family used to pick 5 games a year to go to 20 years ago. Now 4 tickets, for each family group, plus parking, we don't live in a mass transit accessible area, and refreshments will cost 500-600+. So now we go to one game a year. Not complaining it's just reality. Last year when the season was beginning it looked like the team was punting on the season. That is not a sales endorsement. Then with the team stumbling badly the first two months, that was another sales downer. Met fans love the team, but like the street hustler selling his wares, they need to be sold to buy. That's another reality of direct sales to the public, which is different than your regular business. It's always the year after winning when the Mets, probably all sports teams, sell out the house. Build it and they will come. Let's Go Mets.
