I do not believe it is a binary switch that we can’t have a relationship with Pakistan if we have a relationship with India, says US Central Command chief, Gen Michael Kurilla. He describes Pakistan as a phenomenal counterterrorism partner for the one-off Pakistani support against ISIS-K in Afghanistan....

Faakistan and Afghanistan are the waterloo of the Americans. Their soldiers come back in coffins, they achieve nothing, and they create an Osama bin Laden or Yahoo Bin Faakistani and send another trillion dollars to line the pockets of Pakistani Generals & Failed Marshalls.

If Pakistan is a phenomenal counter-terrorism partner, wonder why they went killing Osama Bin Laden on Pakistani soil instead of asking Pakistan to do it.

He is wrong. military ties with two nations at war with each other are by definition binary. He is not discussing diplomatic or trade ties here. Thats as weird as US military having ties with Israel and with Hamas.

He mispronounced it... Pakistan is a phenomenal "terrorism" (not counter terrorism) partner ...

Every so often, the Pak military sacrifices a mid level pawn to satisfy the "counter-terrorism" urges of whosoever is in power in US. A win-win transaction that keeps those in charge happy about the "cooperation".

#WATCH | At UNGA Indian diplomat Bhavika Mangalanandan replies to Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif, says, "This assembly regrettably witnessed a travesty this morning. A country run by the military, with a global reputation for terrorism, narcotics, trade and transnational crime has had the audacity to attack the world's largest democracy. I speak about the reference to India in the speech of the Pakistani PM. As the world knows, Pakistan has long employed cross-border terrorism as a weapon against its neighbours. It has attacked our parliament, our financial capital, Mumbai, marketplaces and pilgrimage routes. The list is long. For such a country to speak about violence anywhere is hypocrisy at its worst. It is even more extraordinary for a country with a history of rigged elections to talk about political choices that too, in a democracy. The real truth is that Pakistan covets our territory and in fact has continuously used terrorism to disrupt elections in Jammu and Kashmir, an inalienable and integral part of India. A reference has been made to some proposals of strategic restraint. There can be no compact with terrorism. In fact, Pakistan should realize that cross-border terrorism against India will inevitably invite consequences. It is ridiculous that a nation that committed genocide in 1971 and which persecuted its minorities relentlessly even now, dare speak about intolerances and phobias. The world can see for itself what Pakistan really is. We are talking about a nation that for long hosted Osama bin Laden. A country whose fingerprints are on so many terrorist incidents across the world, whose policies attract the dregs of many societies to make it their home. Perhaps it should come as no surprise that its PM would so speak in this hallowed hall. Yet we must make clear how unacceptable his words are to all of us. We know that Pakistan will seek to counter the truth with more lies. Repetition will change nothing. Our stand is clear and needs no reiteration." (Source: UNTV)

VIDEO | Delhi: Congress leader Manish Tewari on prominent citizens from India and Pakistan appealing PMs of both countries for 'restoring peace, normalcy, dialogue', says, "Well, that's not an appeal for a dialogue. It is an instrument of an unconditional surrender. We want peace with Pakistan, but it has to be peace without terror. It has to be peace with honour. Has Pakistan given any commitment that it will dismantle the entire military jihadi complex. That they have very assiduously nurtured since the late 1970s. Has Pakistan said that they would ensure that the soil of their country is not used for perpetrating terror against India. A commitment which was given by President Musharraf in 2002 in a televised address to the people of Pakistan, as well as reiterated when Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited Islamabad in December 2004 for the SAARC Summit. And then repeated ad nauseam in the conversations that took place with between Dr. Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani interlocutors, or even Prime Minister Modi later with his Pakistani interlocutors. So, therefore, the question is not peace. The question is, peace at what cost? Peace cannot come with a gun to your head, you know, with somebody holding the gun of terror to your head. And all these people who've written this letter are very eminent people in their professional and private capacities. They have dealt with the Pakistanis over the entire span of their professional careers. They exactly know as to how perfidious these people are as to how they say one thing and mean the other thing altogether. And therefore, if there has to be peace, or if there has to be a dialogue, terror and talks cannot go hand in hand. You need to ensure that Pakistan dismantles the entire infrastructure of terror that Pakistan have created. Who does not want peace? Everybody wants peace, but it has to be peace without terror and peace with honor." (Full video available on PTI Videos -

#WATCH | Delhi | Foreign affairs expert Sushant Sareen said, "Bangladesh is rediscovering its Pakistani roots. They are following the Pakistani playbook. The regime in Bangladesh, which is an illegal, illegitimate unelected regime is now totally in the Pakistani pocket... For them to overreact to a small demonstration by 15-20 people who obviously felt very strongly about the cross-persecution of minorities, and the brutal killing taking place in Bangladesh, is utterly ridiculous. It's absurd, but to be expected, because absurdity in Pakistan is the same thing, and Bangladesh is now rediscovering its East Pakistan roots... There are also disturbing reports coming in that there are people from the Pakistani establishment who are sitting in government offices in Bangladesh and directing them on what to do. There are reports of Pakistan and Bangladesh trying to enter into a defence deal, which means that there could soon be Pakistani boots on the ground or some other kind of assistance being given to Bangladesh. The regime in Bangladesh is now totally in the Pakistani pocket, and Bangladesh becomes an outpost to attack India... It will be a classic case of Bangladesh cutting not just its nose, but two of its necks to spite India's face... India will need to start rethinking how it plans to deal with Bangladesh. A lot of people consider what India is doing or not doing as a strategic restraint. But I sometimes wonder whether it's restraint or it's strategic paralysis. We need to do certain things, and it should serve as a lesson for India, even for other countries in the neighbourhood andthe rest of the world..." (23.12)
