“Why are we assuming that the process of becoming a trans person is as simple as just putting on a wig and deciding to change your pronouns?” Wait I’m confused. I thought “trans people” were born trans…now we’re admitting the BECOME trans? Secondly, it is trans activists who decided that anyone can be trans simply by saying they’re trans, and the rest of us are all to respect it—no medicalization required. There’s no threshold of hormones or surgeries that a person must accomplish to show they’re truly serious about being trans; it’s literally just a declaration. So if you’re mad that we’re assuming it’s as easy as putting on a wig and changing your pronouns, look in the mirror for the standard you created.
