Both sides in the immigration debate are guilty of conflating immigrants, migrants, asylum seekers and refugees to suit their arguments. This guy talks about immigrants but notably, the figure provided only relates to refugees.

What absolute far left bollocks. There are 1.2 million illegal migrants currently in the UK. This doesn’t include the 1 over million that currently have ILR and living on benefits. Each one costs the taxpayer £40k per annum to feed, clothe, provide housing, medical care and all for free at the taxpayer’s expense. Thats £48 Billion a year. None of them have worked a day in their lives. None have paid stamp. It’s taking food off the plate of hard working Brits. And the government ARE using all available rented accommodation, social housing and new builds to put these men in. It’s not just out of the way military camps, it’s in our towns and villages. We need to locate the most remote, mosquitos ridden island in our archipelago to store these men in preparation to be deported. They have no right to be here. They are economic migrants not refugees, and have passed through several safe states to come here. The gravy train must end.

That’s why I rate the young people — give them real hope for the future and they’ll engage, they’ll understand, they’ll step up. My pal was homeless went to the council to see if they could help him they said unless u are an asylum seeker or pregnant we can’t do nothing for you. Plus where I live there are 13 brand new homes being built for people who ain’t even in this country a resettlement scheme 🤷🏻‍♂️
