Pete's absolutely right -- both parties have run up the debt, the real question should be what were they spending the money on. Democrats spend money on voters and Republicans spend money on their donors.

@PeteButtigieg It’s the way he listens for me. I’ve never seen a better listener. He’s not listening to respond, he’s listening to connect and find common ground. It’s rare to the point that I’m not sure I’ve seen other politicians do it. He’s special.

@PeteButtigieg Pete is brilliant, kind and empathic. He truly listens to these people, not to do a 'gotcha', but to understand how they came to their ideas. Once he understands them he can offer facts to lead from their place of ignorance. Pete wouldn't say ignorance tho, he would say naivete.
