I don't know why you ALTA fans narrow down and do not understand basic context of TLOK world and reducing Korra to "no skills" when she is shown to have mastered multiple bending forms superior to majority of avatars. Reducing Korra to “she got beaten up a lot” while... you ignore both the scale of the threats she faced and the fact that TLOK actually allows consequences to exist. Korra fought bloodbending revolutionaries, anarchist assassins, dark spirits, political extremists and continued functioning even after severe physical and psychological trauma. What’s contradictory is that people praise Aang for being wise and avoiding direct conflict while criticizing Korra for struggling in conflicts Aang himself never had to face. Aang’s era allowed him to remain a largely idealistic peacekeeper. Korra inherited a fractured modern world where diplomacy, spirituality, politics, and violence were all colliding at once.show more

i dont think most of the people understand what really happened in b2. Tenzin and Tonraq lied to Korra to why they isolated her on a compound for the most of her life and Unalaq told her the truth when they didn’t. This caused her to not trust them and Unalaq used this situation to manipulate Korra and further his own agenda Korra is the Avatar, they shouldn’t have kept this a secret to her since she have to know who she might face in the future Unalaq manipulated her, giving her the news that spirits have been attacking people, giving her the meaning of their tribes’ traditions with the spirits, understanding that Korra was weak in her spiritual side and offered her help. Korra needed help and didn’t know how to deal with the spirits until Unalaq showed her how to deal with one while Tenzin and Tonraq couldn’t

Doc, why do you hate Korra so much? While her mates like Aang were using the Avatar State to bring peace in the world and solve real world problems, just look at what this Gbavatar was doing. Korra turned the Avatar State into nitrous boost to win a race. Even Aang that was so playful never did this. No wonder she is the reason behind the chaos in the new Avatar Series, The Seven Havens. A lot of you love calling out Korra for using the Avatar State during a race, but never say a word about Aang using it on the sandbenders. They had already apologized and were willing to take him to where Appa was. There was absolutely no need to go into the Avatar State on a bunch of sandbenders. The double standard is crazy 🤣

Okay, okay, okay, last one for tonight. Team Aang destroyed the drill, the most advanced war machine at the time, defeating Azula, Ty Lee, Mai, and the Fire Nation Invasion Force all at once, just in a usual afternoon. Korra’s Team and her Avatar State won’t ever achieve this. She will probably get crippled. But for Aang, NO AVATAR STATE needed! It is a travesty to ever mention Aang and Korra in the same class. I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? What she meant was never that AKB was “better” than KLP, or that she was criticizing KLP, Malaysia, or the people around her there. She explained that she is genuinely grateful for the environment she had in KLP, and at the same time, her experience in Malaysia made her realize how many things in AKB she had previously taken for granted. With KLP, they were essentially building a 48 Group and its idol culture from the ground up in a place where that system and environment were not already established. There were a lot of fun experiences, but naturally there were also difficult things that came with having to create something from scratch. Because she went through that experience, when she returned to AKB, she became more aware of all the things that were already established and prepared for the members there, and it made her feel grateful for the AKB environment as well. She specifically emphasized that this was NOT about saying one place was better than the other. She said that both places were wonderful to her, both were places she loved, and that was what she had wanted to convey. She also mentioned that some Malaysian fans had misunderstood what she meant, and clarified that she never intended for her words to be used to attack anyone. So I hope people can listen to what she is actually saying here rather than judging her based only on a clipped portion of her speech. And on top of that, when we started touring, it was 2021, so it was kind of like still depths of the pandemic. We were like one of the first tours to go back out. “I don’t want to put any child through what I went through, and if aborting that child means that child will not go through that, then that is the moral thing to do.” This is really hard, and good on Lila Rose for being so compassionate. It’s obvious this woman is really hurt and angry. But the problem with her worldview is that we’re not God. We don’t get to determine whose life is worth living and whose isn’t. When you’re aborting your child, you’re making that decision FOR him, and he may not see the world the way you do. Frankly, he may be stronger and more resilient than you are. He may make something of himself that you failed to do on your own behalf, and regardless, he is an image bearer of God, with a life and purpose that you cannot understand even as his mother. For this woman to sit here and say abused and neglected children would be better off dead speaks to the spiritual sickness inside her and in our culture, and I don’t even think she actually believes it—because she’s still here. She hasn’t given up, and there’s a reason for that. She chooses to keep going, and that is good. It’s not for her to rob other humans of that same opportunity. “Woe to him who strives with him who formed him…Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’” Isaiah 45:9 There is a God. We are not Him. Life is hard for every single person. We have to accept the fact that we cannot know or understand everything. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring—especially if we voluntarily choose to rob ourselves of that tomorrow. And under no circumstances is it moral or compassionate to make that choice for someone else.

She was literally using her last straw of survival… her own body! Imagine being put in a situation where you feel like you have to sacrifice yourself as a woman just to survive. Just to avoid being sent back to the same hell you spent your whole life trying to escape. And all of this… because the only thing you wanted was to study. A basic human right btw!! Yet people were so cruel and disgusting that they reduced the whole situation to “she was offering her body for him.” Meanwhile, he literally saw her shaking from fear while she was taking off her robe. And before she even said anything, he told her “yapma” in that tone because he understood what was happening. He saw her desperation! And I will keep saying this forever!! Serhat hated himself for bringing her to a point where she felt like she had to offer herself just to survive… Then she asked him: “Don’t you want me?” And he couldn’t answer. Not because he didn’t want her we all know that wasn’t the question and we also all know what he wanted at the moment (his dream said it all). Anyways… But because he understood the situation they were in, and he couldn’t take what she was offering while knowing the reason behind it! Not like that!! Not for her because he knew he reasons! Interesting things about Taurie Cain's lore that got changed in development, I lightly touched on some of this before: - She was not meant to have a name, only being known as a cultist to showcase her life of servitude and dedication to the Entity. - Her early beginnings were that she lost her family somehow and was homeless in the streets of Edinburgh (changed to Glasgow). The reason she joined the cult was to both have a community but also a place for warmth and food. The cult saved her. - She was a hardened and rebellious punk who had to do what she could to survive alone on the cold streets, this is why her default is kind of... homeless chic lmao. - She, in fact, HAD killed before in the name of the cult. She would've been the first original Survivor to have killed an innocent soul by her hand *intentionally*. This was later changed to where she hesitated on her first and only kill attempt and it cost her everything. - I don't know the circumstances of how or why she was taken by the Entity as a Survivor (and not a Killer) in her original lore.
