I don't know why you ALTA fans narrow down and do not understand basic context of TLOK world and reducing Korra to "no skills" when she is shown to have mastered multiple bending forms superior to majority of avatars. Reducing Korra to “she got beaten up a lot” while... you ignore both the scale of the threats she faced and the fact that TLOK actually allows consequences to exist. Korra fought bloodbending revolutionaries, anarchist assassins, dark spirits, political extremists and continued functioning even after severe physical and psychological trauma. What’s contradictory is that people praise Aang for being wise and avoiding direct conflict while criticizing Korra for struggling in conflicts Aang himself never had to face. Aang’s era allowed him to remain a largely idealistic peacekeeper. Korra inherited a fractured modern world where diplomacy, spirituality, politics, and violence were all colliding at once.show more

i dont think most of the people understand what really happened in b2. Tenzin and Tonraq lied to Korra to why they isolated her on a compound for the most of her life and Unalaq told her the truth when they didn’t. This caused her to not trust them and Unalaq used this situation to manipulate Korra and further his own agenda Korra is the Avatar, they shouldn’t have kept this a secret to her since she have to know who she might face in the future Unalaq manipulated her, giving her the news that spirits have been attacking people, giving her the meaning of their tribes’ traditions with the spirits, understanding that Korra was weak in her spiritual side and offered her help. Korra needed help and didn’t know how to deal with the spirits until Unalaq showed her how to deal with one while Tenzin and Tonraq couldn’t

Doc, why do you hate Korra so much? While her mates like Aang were using the Avatar State to bring peace in the world and solve real world problems, just look at what this Gbavatar was doing. Korra turned the Avatar State into nitrous boost to win a race. Even Aang that was so playful never did this. No wonder she is the reason behind the chaos in the new Avatar Series, The Seven Havens. A lot of you love calling out Korra for using the Avatar State during a race, but never say a word about Aang using it on the sandbenders. Team Aang destroyed the drill, the most advanced war machine at the time, defeating Azula, Ty Lee, Mai, and the Fire Nation Invasion Force all at once, just in a usual afternoon. Korra’s Team and her Avatar State won’t ever achieve this. She will probably get crippled. But for Aang, NO AVATAR STATE needed! It is a travesty to ever mention Aang and Korra in the same class. I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? “The last time that we were touring and stuff, I think touring is quite an isolating experience. And on top of that, when we started touring, it was 2021, so it was kind of like still depths of the pandemic. We were like one of the first tours to go back out. She was literally using her last straw of survival… her own body! Imagine being put in a situation where you feel like you have to sacrifice yourself as a woman just to survive. Just to avoid being sent back to the same hell you spent your whole life trying to escape. And all of this… because the only thing you wanted was to study. A basic human right btw!! Yet people were so cruel and disgusting that they reduced the whole situation to “she was offering her body for him.” Meanwhile, he literally saw her shaking from fear while she was taking off her robe. Four kids had just finished battling secret agents few minutes before. And they were like “f*** it, let’s go see the king. We’ve got our ride back.” Ended up entering a form of godmode, bodying guards and laying waste to elite trained soldiers in the one of the most protected areas in their Universe. How can a team of kids jump on a whole Earth kingdom royal army and body them like this? I rewatch this scene a lot just to relish the pure work of art. The symphony of attack was something else. Everyone in Team Avatar knew when it was their turn to attack, or when they all needed to go at the same time. If you compare Korra to Aang or any level, I think you should do small jail time. Because that Ikorodu baddie and her team can never do this. ATLA had us thinking this was normal. It sure as hell wasn’t. There’s no one as dangerous as Aang when he’s fully locked in, this scene was a big proof of that. PS: That no look Earthbending by Aang while still on Appa and that earthquake landing remains one of the greatest things I’ve seen on screen. A complete badass once he locks in.

This tiny New York City apartment, 80 x 150, goes for $650 a month! 🤯 She has no oven and her bed is up a ladder and there is about two to three feet of space from the bed to the ceiling. as I'm sure many of you have come to realize - "waking up" is very different from "understanding" why things in the world and on TV seem to be happening at a pace and in a way that you cannot affect or do anything about - nor can you look or walk away, for very long. that's the place I needed to get to in order to understand that we really are watching a scripted movie, that in fact, the only thing we can do is know about it, wake people up to it and enjoy the show - and PRAY. this clip encapsulates where it's all headed and why.

If you break down the video and look closely at the footage, it's clear the woman was trying to hit the ICE officer and did ram him with her car. Look at the way she turns her tires and how she accelerates towards the officer. For what specific reason we'll never know because she is dead, but you do not get to obstruct law enforcement, refuse to comply, and try to ram an officer while driving away without facing any consequences. The irony of it all is that is that she was trying to kill someone responsible for arresting the very people that are stealing from her.
