I don't think Evan Engram's preseason debut is being talked about enough. Here are 3 plays he really stood out 1st (low-hanging fruit): Huge catch on 1st-and-15 up the seam 2nd: Helps spring Jonah Coleman's 13-yard run as in-line blocker 3rd: Another big block for Coleman

@chemicalcalvin Chefs Kiss: The 3rd Block, he turned the defender inside on the block. How beautiful. @SayreBedinger

Engram on a seam/over the middle and actually being let block is huge and something Sean failed to do last year even though he called Engram the Joker. Promising

That third one is a block that was missed many times from the TE room last season. Just sets the edge and allows for at least 5 yards when it’s on point like this.

100% I really liked seeing him out there making plays. Couple good catches and some nice blocks. Really hope he's used more this year

The misuse of Engram last year was criminal

If he wants to block it’s a game changer.

It's unimportant to the video but the Broncos uniforms look really damn good with those navy socks.

We still have to see if this line is good enough to allow Bo to stand in the pocket and pass. If they are the same as the last 3 yr Bo is going to start running or they have to do screen passes.

Texas A&M HC Mike Elko - Building Defensive IQ for Winning Situational Football "It starts to me with you have to develop football 101 in your defense. You've got to take a step back & you've got to build some level of general football knowledge in your defensive unit. It's sometimes the things that can save you when you don't call the perfect defense/scheme. Down & Distance Understanding... 2nd & 7+ - We have won 1st down... The offense is now trying to get themselves back in favorable positions for 3rd down. Here the battle is for half the yardage. - Offensively you will see a lot of RPOs, Quick Game, Screen & Draw. This is not a down where you will see a lot of high risk types of offensive plays. - Defensively we play this down & distance like a 3rd down off 1/2 the yardage... (2nd & 8 is like 3rd & 4, 2nd & 14 is like 3rd & 7) 2nd & 4-6 - We have lost 1st down. Now we must make a play on 2nd down to try to re-create an advantage for 3rd down. Success on this down is similar to 1st & 10. We are looking to hold them to 3 or less. - This is a down where the offense usually sticks to their strengths. Again, they are looking for a low risk play that will keep the chains moving forward. - For us we call this D&D no different than 1st down. 2nd & 1-3 (Waste) - Thus for the offense is known as a waste down. This is a D&D where the offense is likely to take a deep shot because they are in a favorable position for 3rd down. - Offenses will try double moves & max protection shot plays a lot on this D&D - For us on defense, this is a big zone pressure down. Gives us a chance to create a negative play and regain the advantage on the sticks. Also closes the middle of the field to protect us on the shot plays.

Drew: "How do we feel about that, [Devens] using his power? I feel pretty goof about it. [...] I think Taylor, Lala, and Yash are more mad at the Icons than they are at me [...] This game is really fun, really fun. I don't know if I'm doing a good job or not, but the past 2 weeks I've been laying mad low after being on the block because my alliance put me up. I don't even know who would consider [evicting me] that week. I don't know if it was Dee, Haley, or Chuk, and to be honest it could've been Devens. And I don't really care in all honesty cuz that's so long ago. I'm kinda happy with how I'm playing as a kid so far, I'm only 22 years old. Created an alliance with all the Icons, great. I got Barrett, who's kinda my Number 1, I think. I don't know if he's mine, with Mallory. I think Melody would keep me no matter what, and I think I'm her Number 1 but I don't know with Mallory. I'm feeling fairly insulated in these alliance because I haven't won anything, on purpose. I tried to win the Wall because it was iconic [...] I'm deciding whether or not this is my week to try and gun for an HOH. I kinda want to, I kinda dont, cuz right now Barrett is becoming more of a target because he's getting so close to winning. But within the alliance, he's more valuable than I am because he can win stuff [...] I think I need to become more valuable as a Crossovers member so I have to start winning stuff. Right now I'm praying for Haley to win the Block Buster, and send my Handymen packing, cuz he really is the biggest threat in the game." #BB28 #BBBitez
