I've never heard a BJ Thomas version (doesn't mean he didn't cover it). But the Hollies are who made it famous.

The Hollies!! Incredibly versatile band

This version ???? It’s the ONLY version LOL 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

Actually it was the Hollies made it a huge hit.

Originally by a guy named Kelly Gordon (the B-side was a song he wrote called "That's Life"- later popularized by Frank Sinatra). The Hollies recorded it a few months later, with then-unknown Elton John on piano. B.J. Thomas covered it in 1972 but it wasn't issued as a single.

Not sure I’ve heard another version. The Hollies.

The Hollies did this song originally. A massive hit.

Elton John played the piano on The Hollie's version.

Ok, there have been too many things from my past show up this week. Beginning to feel a little paranoid.

The Hollies. Allan Clarke

Allan Clarke of The Hollies behind the mike.

You should check out their whole catalog of music.

This is the only one I remember

Wasn’t Graham Nash in the Hollies? Or am I thinking about a different band?

The Osmonds recorded it as well.

This is the version by The Hollies that I remember.

The Osmonds sang it, too.

Elton John on piano for the Hollies original recording in 69.

Isn't that the Hollies?

I've only known the Hollies to sing this song.

Nope not BJ Thomas, but the Hollies.

The Hollies. Great song.

Hollies did the original

The Hollies were real good. I have their greatest hits album in a box somewhere & maybe the cd in a cd holder somewhere.

I've never hear this! That's so close to the original vocal. Even better actually.

Is it the Hollies?

The Hollies- He Ain’t Heavy He’s my Bother. Hit song for the Hollies

Guess I’m old. I know this version.

I remember this. He has a great singing voice.

It's the only version I knew. I knew others covered it, but this is the one I know.

I've only heard the Hollies version.

Hollies Bro...

The Hollies is the only version I’ve heard
