Well, it turns out that the same guy “personally directed” Secret Service agents to be CUT. So, he lied. The lead site agent responsible for the Trump security disaster continues to oversee security for political events. Whistleblowers tell Sen. Josh Hawley that she, the lead site agent, was not enforcing normal security protocols and describe her as “inexperienced and incompetent.” There was a failure to check IDs at the event, allowing unchecked access to secure areas. Additionally, Homeland Security agents, many of whom had never worked a rally before, were primarily responsible for security instead of experienced Secret Service agents. JUST IN: The Trump assas*ination suspect was hiding in the bushes with an AK-47 with a scope, two backpacks, and a GoPro. The Secret Service agents were one hole ahead of Trump, scoping out the area when they noticed the suspect. The FBI is now investigating the incident as an "attempted assas*ination" making this the 2nd assas*ination attempt on Trump in 2 months. Trump was taken to the ground by agents after the "pops" rang out. According to the Secret Service, agents fired 4 shots at the suspect. It is unclear if the suspect shot as well.
