The key distinction is between AI being capable of assisting with biological research and evidence that it is actually being used to create bioweapons. Anthropic’s report is raising a potential misuse risk, not necessarily claiming that an active bioweapons program is underway. The details of what the models can and cannot meaningfully enable are what matter here.

@rowlsmanthorpe We should really know to what extent AI has been deployed in the: annihilation, extermination, holocaust, genocide, terrorism, massacres, slaughters, murders, dehumanisation, demonisation, induced starvation etc of the Palestinians in Gaza. The public must know this information!
