Trump doesn't know history... he also doesn't understand tariffs; he just knows that tariffs build up govt. coffers, but he doesn't know that tariffs have unknown term limits could end badly. He probably doesn't think he has a term limit either.

Just like there is no housing crisis or rental unit crisis, there's a control of the inventory. Scarcity breeds demand which drives up prices. Developers have land sitting they could build housing on, but why build more when you can charge more for what you already have?
