I don't think the people in Waymo will ever ride it again.

If this was a Tesla robotaxi it would be worldwide news.

there's 2 women and a homosexual in a regular car do you think they're gonna be any calmer

This is more of a route planning issue than a driving issue. Waymo needs to avoid these risky intersections by making that left turn somewhere by a traffic light. It may take longer, but it is safer.

Find whoever designed that intersection and punish them.

When a Waymo gets stuck or takes a long time to make a maneuver, a human from another country that is monitoring the vehicle's cameras takes over. So, you're literally putting your life in the hands of a foreigner that has virtually no idea what they're doing, has little to no concern over your well being, and who's main interest is to only keep the vehicle moving in order to reduce down time and fault logs, no matter what. Have fun with that.

Anything close to this would mean the end of the world for Tesla. Which is why rollout is cautious. The bar for Tesla is 10x higher.

According to the software design team, it's working perfectly.

Waymo needs n!gga voice mode "chill tf down bitch, I got this".

This is where a real human would right turn and wait for next U-Turn position.

needs more lidar for sure

Waymo needs to fire this Filipino remote driver.

How do you not say "yeah fuck this" and hop out before it inches into the highway

CyberCab is going to run Waymo into the ground

Chill out or your are going to scare the team in the Philippines that is trying to remotely drive!

Doesn’t help that American roads are designed terribly. Here in Germany you would never find an unprotected left turn on a road like this. Either turning left wouldn’t be allowed or there’d be a traffic light.

Thank God Waymo has all those Lidars, or that could of been very tragic. Right @MarkRober ?

Still a lot safer than this 👇

Jesus, take the wheel! No, Jesus really take the wheel.

Same as this dude…

😂

@fklg02 What do you expect from a company with 2 CEOs?

⬆️ Waymo bleep bloop sensors and spinny things… …are hiding it’s kindergarten brain. There are no shortcuts to true AI autonomy. Tesla FSD never stop in the middle of oncoming traffic. It likes survival…

I had the same thing happen to me in phoenix Waymo, took a left across 4 lanes right in traffic, that was the last time I took one. It also couldn’t get out of the hotel circle driveway, just kept going in circles for 5 minutes

Tesla is far more advanced with Full Self Driving. Waymo should absolutely just retire and give up at this point with their lidar..

Tesla FSD would not have done something so stupid.

who needs to go to universal studios, this is waymo dangerous

No way in hell I'll ever ride in one.

Even my HW3 12.6.5 Tesla does better than that and my software is 2 years old…

this really needs to end. We need to stop with 'automating' everything.

I have always thought, even if self-driving cars are programmed to near-perfection, there is that psychological feeling that something will go wrong - as this video showed. In other words, even if the trip goes smoothly, you will spend your time worrying which is not fun…

There's only one thing stupider than a driverless taxi... and that's paying to ride in one.

HMMMM. It drives like some Indian is driving it from India. it couldn't be remotely controlled by Indians using Starlink satellites & acting as "AI" could it??? Nooooooo......

Why were they laughing? I would have been getting out of the car.
