I don’t think the Virginia Tech touchdown call should have been overturned last night against Miami. Do I think he caught it? No. Can you 100% prove he didn’t catch it? Also, no. On field call should have stood:

On field call was wrong to begin with. That’s where the problem was.

Most people are slowly backing into this position. Admitting it wasn’t a catch but that they think it shouldn’t have been overturned. Which is an admission that Miami won the game on the merits. Imagine wanting a game’s outcome to be wrong simply based on this notion.

Wasn't a catch. End zone angel showed ball was moving and pulled out. They got it right.

It’s based on the premise that the refs called TD on the field. There’s no possible way they visually saw a TD on the field because it took them a while to make the call and the Miami DB wound up with the ball.

Wrong. It should not have been called a catch on the field in the first place.

Canes fan. Don't care. By hook or crook

Agreed. I don't think he had control of the ball through the play, but there was nothing that was "indisputable" that should have overturned the on-field call. A call either way should have stood on that one.

😂

It was never a catch. Terrible call. So they had no choice but to overturn it

Call stands is a terrible take. The game was on the line. Confirm it or reverse it.
