I don’t understand why men do this while cooking

It’s called hygiene

Doing it every sec is madness

Because men are perfectionists. I also do this because I don't want the kitchen to smell because I cut onion or garlic, organic matter in hand can stick on shelves and it can lead to fungus in kitchen. The food needs to taste good and be clean.

I lived with my GF parents for a while, i stopped eating what her mother cooked after she took out the trash and went back, grabbed the spoon and stirred the pot, so many times since I heard the toilet flush and the door open, no hands washing, anyways now I'm single.

It’s called ‘avoiding cross contamination’. It’s the most basic thing in food hygiene. I’ll admit that this is excessive (unless you work in a place and deal with food constantly) but name one TikTok vid that isn’t. Maybe you need to do a food hygiene course

Washing your hands after touching your phone is completely necessary. 99% of you shit on the toilet with your phone in your hands. Your phone is absolutely filthy! But I wash my hands after touching food anyway because I just hate stickiness on my hands.
