One of the worst design flaws of Apple. The king of the mice is the Logitech MX Master Pro.

They battery on this could last from 1-2 months so its not actually that big of a problem. Its not like a phone that you need to charge everyday

It's a wireless mouse. You're not supposed to use it while it's charging —similar to your phone. Get over it, genius.

To the idiot fanboys its a stupid design. You are in the middle of something and the mouse dies. You must stop everything until it charges. Almost as bad as the battery ones that you toss in the garbage in frustration when they die.

The whole mouse is the dog shit anyway, not ergonomic at all, your hands will fill the pain after 2-3 hours of using it. For the money it cost, Logitech MX master is a lot better choice.

You just don’t get good design do you? They wanted a single pane of glass. Charging for 5 mins once every 6 months is a small trade off

The mouse is rendered completely useless for 3-4 hours. And the worst part is that the mouse goes offline once you connect the charger and there is no charging indicating LED. So you will never know if it is charging or not.

Steve would have created a mouse pad that charges the mouse as you move it around. 100%

Love all the comments justifying the charging port placement because: - It lasts a long time - When it’s charging it’s not meant to be used It is objectively the worst place for a charging port. The most mind blowing part is Apple hasn’t changed it after all these years. Complacent.

you can charge it when you go for a bathroom break. when you’re back its full tor the next 8 hours or so. Stupid design but almost zero impact to workflow

A quick 10-minute charge provides enough power for a full day of use🙄

I charge it once per year. If you are blind to not see alert for almost two months (20%), you can always charge it for 60sec and it will last 1 hour and half. I have also a PC with Logitech and aliensware mouse, I need to charge them every 2 weeks.

That reminds me of another apple mouse that was the DUMBEST design ever back in the 90s. It was a perfectly circular mouse, which basically made it impossible to draw straight lights in photoshop because it would rotate slightly in the hand until it went off track.

This was my goto back in the day. Had 3; for home, work, and laptop.😅
