If Peter Obi had not convinced people to calm down post elections and allowed protest to brew, thousands of igbos would have been massacred at a rate not seen since the civil war. And Peter Obi? Would've been incaserated on trumped-up charges. It was a trap, but the dude's smart.

Protest after election would have been worse. Who will even protest? Definitely not the SW and the North at that time. The problem is unity, not timing. A united nigeria protest is what they are afraid of. Let's not pretend that Endsars never happened.
