@Ella_M_Whelan Fact check: Poor people kill themselves more than middle class people

@Ella_M_Whelan I grew up hearing the phrase man up getting used a lot to people who were suffering from depression and burnout and a few of them are no longer with us because of that. One person’s experience does not negate another’s

@Ella_M_Whelan Spiked online right wing liar for hire Mouthpiece for the patriarchy says what?

@Ella_M_Whelan Someone who hasn't had a real job thinks burnout is fake?

@Ella_M_Whelan Whelan's job has always been chatting wet for money. No wonder she doesn't accept burnout is a real debilitating thing. It's not within her experience, given if she doesn't do her job nothing bad will happen to anyone else. Very intense responsible jobs are another thing entirely

@Ella_M_Whelan Middle class person calls other middle class person 'middle class'.

@Ella_M_Whelan Contractors don't get paid if they don't work.

@Ella_M_Whelan Suicide stats do not suggest that burn out is a middle class phenomenon.

@Ella_M_Whelan I’m guessing that she doesn’t know any ‘guys who fix the roads’ because if she did, she’d know that many of them do. She has very little to offer any subject, with the exception of providing fodder for social media clips.

@Fox_Claire @Ella_M_Whelan Whelan is an unpleasant individual steeped in the dogma of Ayn Rand. To suggest that burnout is a class phenomenon is absurd, of course. Despair, exhaustion and even suicide are available to all in our jolly little neoliberal dystopia. People like Whelan seem content with this

So true. A burnout is not being tired of work. A burnout is a mental illness with dangerous thought patterns and patterns of feeling guilty for being unable to perform / to work. Spilling disgust or more pressure on such sufferers is extremly irresponsible in terms of potential self-harm. I worked highly academically for decades and lost my skills (at work and at home) for 3 years due to a severe burnout with exhaustion depression. Panic attacks in front of my work. Stalling anxiety when seeing customers on the streets. Tears because of being unable to process a simple HelloFresh recipe. A final stage burnout is as severe as a heart attack or a stroke, but others can't see it. It takes you out of functioning and might take years to recover, while never being able to reach your former energy level back. Thanks for speaking out.🍀👑

@Ella_M_Whelan Does she actually know anyone who isn’t middle class? That’s just confirmation bias

@Ella_M_Whelan Mental health is "middle class"?

Should we be kinder to MPs due to ‘burnout’? No. They're usually manipulative, mentally fragile, overpaid, incompetent females who are undeserving of their professional roles because modern corporate/government/academic hiring has layered on DEI filters that prioritise demographics over raw ability for leadership.

@Ella_M_Whelan She is middle class lol hate yourself much mate?

@Ella_M_Whelan The only opinion that matters are Carla and her doctor. Burnout might be the term used for an ongoing state of depletion and strain and afaiu doctors take it very seriously, as a diagnosis both for themselves and others. I’ve no interest in what RW Ella thinks about it.

@Ella_M_Whelan Burnout 😂 she shouldn’t be a MP How would she be if for instance The Green Party were in power and she was PM

@Ella_M_Whelan It's not that burnout doesn't exist, it does. The question is how you react to it.A self employed person will get their head down, keep going & pull through it.A public sector worker will get a sick note, selfishly heap all their work onto someone else & hit the sofa.On full pay!

@Ella_M_Whelan Maybe people with no medical knowledge who don’t understand the physiology of burnout should STFU 🤫

@Ella_M_Whelan No. Why should we kinder to politicians, who pick on the most vulnerable every single day for years on end?

@Ella_M_Whelan That sneering little bitch is so vile.

@Ella_M_Whelan It's not a uniquely middle class issue, it might just be they talk about it more. And it's good for MPs to be honest and open about their mental health

@Ella_M_Whelan What the fuck does a reactionary windbag for hire know about burnout? Absolutely stealing a living.

@Ella_M_Whelan know her mum and dad, she's a NEPO baby got her jobs in media and book deals based on who she knew not on any sort of merit. Ironically how she sneers about middle class, as she's firmly one of them

@Ella_M_Whelan Depends on the MP - Carla supports disabled ppl, so she's a good one, if an MP though wants sympathy due to burnout but they refuse to help disabled ppl, then you reap what ye sow; no sympathy begets no sympathy, a fundamental law

@Ella_M_Whelan And her qualifications are?

@Fox_Claire @Ella_M_Whelan Working class gets burned out also But have no choice but to carry on So do we want a bigger wealth fare budget to help these folks out or is this just a class issue Socialism for the rich

@Ella_M_Whelan Who?

@Ella_M_Whelan MP's want the mentally ill and disabled to work themselves to death.

@Ella_M_Whelan Burn out = tired. Stop whining.

@Ella_M_Whelan A bet teachers wish they were burning out on £90k a year.

@Ella_M_Whelan

@Ella_M_Whelan If she can’t do the job - resign!

@RobinJacks16957 @Ella_M_Whelan Her pens must be very heavy 🙄

@Ella_M_Whelan Not in the slightest try being a single young mother trying to feed her child in this country
