Stop it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣♥️😘

I felt both seen and attacked while watching that🤣😂

This hits a little too close to home. But you know what's FANTASTIC for ADHD? Poverty. Poverty helps. It reduces your options to nearly zero, which forces you to focus on just one thing. Highly recommend. Five stars.

As someone who is intimately familiar with poverty, it could help some, but not everyone

Well, no, if you can avoid it... Lol. In my case, however, focus seems to be exactly what's happening. I may just regret the day I become successful... Hmm...

I’m glad I saved what I had to get my RX. It helped me focus on what I could do and so I could improve my situation

Still need to send those thank yous for my wedding… 16 years ago. I’ve been divorced for 4. Probably should still send them. I’m terrible.

@boldsaintnic Let me guess, the blank thank you cards are in a box covered in dust somewhere?😂

How may amazing ideas do you have on a given day? 3,000. How many of them do you execute? PASS. 😂😂😂 story of my life

Ikr?? The problem isn’t having amazing ideas, it’s executing them that’s the challenge

This is also the personality of a creative or inventor ADHD is often misdiagnosed so they can drug the creativity clean out of you. (See: California elementary school where 50% of the boys were on Ritalin, c90s) Don't take the drugs. (They just want you to sit still.)

Oh, I definitely needed my Adderall, though I only take exactly what I need for any given activity/day

As a party drug, people go to rehab to kick it

I always have extra and have to be reminded to take it lol. It is very overprescribed, and very quick to be used

Yeah, I mean, pretty much everyone is going to love adderall haha

I’d rather not have to, but it makes such a dramatic difference, especially where work is concerned, that it was life changing. I was a a psychiatric RN then, DON for the program, actually, and the medical director asked “would you do something for me,” and I was like “sure, what do you need?” She handed me a patient registration form for her outpatient office. She had interacted with me so often, and observed me in meetings, for 8 months first. She asked me to try something, and I’m forever grateful I did. I never saw her for an actual outpatient visit, but she always checked in. I was fortunate to have that level of observation both before and after treatment was started. My parents, who didn’t believe in ADHD, are now firm believers 😂

I am happy for you. I am only really addressing the misdiagnosed and have friends on adderall, of course. Nothing against you at all!

I hear you, and I would say 80%+ is due to over diagnosis, and now people often don’t see a psychiatrist for diagnosis, but their primary, and they need a proper evaluation. You don’t want to give stimulants to someone who may have undiagnosed bipolar disorder, etc. I also think adults need to learn to use some coping skills, too. I make lists, use apps and alarms, to keep me on task, and even tell me when to do what chores. It’s embarrassing that I need those things, but effective. I completely agree with your points, and think we shouldn’t be diagnosing giving meds so readily, especially to children

Oh my God, the water thing. I do THAT. Cleans water bottle. Fills water bottle. Brings it to work. Still has full water bottle at the end of shift. Pours it into plant. But when I DO drink it, it's like: "OH MY GOD! IT'S THE BEST THING I'VE EVER TASTED! WHAT IS IT?" WATER.

I have bottles of water around me now, while thinking I’m thirsty🤣

Random Fact: The majority of ppl who die of thirst in the desert, often are found with a full canteen of water on them. Many Scientists studying the phenomenon believe that the water isn't consumed b/c it keeps hope alive, then dehydration causes delirium & they never drink it.

I can see myself doing some BS like that tbh

Drove my kid to her ADHD test, was a bit late, but luckily a parking spot right outside the door! Ran in, staff looked at watch, said 'did you get our email?' ’Yes, I even printed it out!’, she took one & circled the 3 times it said 'Do not park in the space outside the door' 🤦

Sounds like you needed an appt, too

Yup, I think it was their way of doing a quick test!

I feel like most people get the forgetful type of ADHD and I got the ruin your finances and relationships type.

@CariHero Mine gives me the most trouble at work. Completing tasks, being on time, that kind of thing, though it definitely impacted other areas. I have had utilities cut off because I forgot to pay, back before autopay

FIRST of all.. this probably would be an appointment that I’ve finally made it to after rescheduling SEVERAL times, and then yes I’m late. B. I have been laid bare naked. 🤣😂🤣

That’s sounds about right🤣😂

someone tell me this is normal human being shit

Apparently not. Things that are easy and normal for other people are stupidly difficult to us sometimes, more so than for the normal person. Impressively so

i thought thank you cards were optional?

Not the way I was raised 🤣

Sounds about right LOL It nailed it on the head for me lmao I felt TARGETED

I wasn’t sure whether to feel attacked or seen. I showed it to a friend, who laughed his a$$ off, then said “that’s you to a tee”🤣🤣

Sounds about right lmao That's me to a tee as well lmao🤣🤣🤣💀

And this is probably part of why we’re friends😂

😏

Got a perfect score myself.

Me too🤣

“Where are your sunglasses” and the water bottle hit me so hard

That’s what cracked my friend up when I showed him. He said “that’s you to a tee”🤣

lol its not even that you forget its today, you know its today, so you spend the entire day, doing nothing because you have an appointment, but then you leave late for it becuase you didnt give yourself enought time to get ready, so you arrive late nad hte entire ordeal is stress

@GrievingArc That’s the worst

It's exhausting! 😩

I always forget my friends birthdays. They always forget mine. We all have adhd 😭

You get to an age where things like that are less important, but when they are there for you when you really need it? Those are good people

When I was getting diagnosed they gave me a questionnaire to get input from my parents and I accidentally mailed it to Amazon with a return. I asked for another and they cackled and told me not to worry about it.

@SayonaraShtbird That sounds like something I would do, tbh, so you’ll get no judgement here 😂

“How many amazing ideas do you have in one day?” “1 to 300,000” 😂😅🫣

That was painfully accurate 😂😂

I feel personally attacked.

I felt both seen and attacked, but I related so hard🤣🤣

The one about being afraid to clean something because it’s covered in cobwebs. 🫣

Yeah, cobwebs won’t stop me when I’m in cleaning mode, not unless there’s another reason I’m dodging it

I swear I have ADHD. It explains so much. I am just having trouble finding somewhere to go to get diagnosed. The anxiety of having to go makes me nervous just thinking about it. I don't think I can do online. Sigh.

I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 27. I started meds, and was finally able to complete tasks and Beto places on time. While meds help, making lists, using alarms and timers, have to-do tasks, etc, helps so much. Maybe get an assessment if the symptoms interfere with life, work, etc

How do we channel the superpower?😅

That is a very good question. While we clearly have our weaknesses, we also have strengths others don’t. I lean into mine on an individual basis. I know what my kryptonite is, though, and when to ask for help now….usually

@CoinspiracyCo I nearly peed my pants I laughed so hard at this….I too feel seen. 🤦♀️😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

@CoinspiracyCo I watched it a couple times and lmao🤣😂

@Rothmus Oof that hits

@Rothmus Yeah, it really does 😂

@madPunchy

Haha but I know where my sunglasses are… wait.. no I don’t lmao

This is so accurate...it is almost comforting

It is, in a way. I feel less alone knowing there’s others like me out there lol

🥲❤️

@eyeamswift Hilarious 🤣🤣

@eyeamswift And so accurate🤣😂

@eyeamswift 💯😃

I feel seen and equally attacked

I said the exact same thing. The water and sunglasses were soooooo me🤣😂

😂

😂

I have a pizza oven outside- used once and I’ve made pottery bowls/plates. Yes I’m on medication.

I am also on medication. Well to ADHD support club. Have some water 😆

lol

Yes

@LawJustice323 LMFAO 🤣

@LawJustice323 🤣🤣

“Pass” 😂🤣

If only we could do that irl🤣

😅 Yes!
