@adobeanimate So, on the bright side: -- Flash will still be available, just no longer updated or supported. -- That means it is the only animation software guaranteed to never get AI shoved into it. I think there might be some real nice silver linings here.

Gary Oldman's "EVERYONE!!" scream in Léon: The Professional is so iconic people yell it at him in the street. Turns out it started as a joke between him and Luc Besson. He explains: “What's strange is that it's become this sort of iconic line, and it was all done as a joke. And that was the thing, I played the scene…. And I had a relationship with Luc. Luc Besson was kind of mad in a way — I mean, we were shooting on film. He would say to me, "OK, do the scene again, but now do it as Robert De Niro." Or do it as... I feel like it plays into the way, the rhythms that you choose and the way that you sing. We talked, but we were ‘just friends,’ and as time went by, we got to know each other more. He would ask me out, and it started becoming something more. Then, one day, he told me he liked me and felt the same way. I was so excited, so hopeful. His birthday was coming up, and there was going to be Pal Norte, a festival here. I spent months saving money to take him to the festival. I even did raffles and everything, because I was 13 or 14 years old. Prototyping can be fun in Figma and a nightmare when you are new to it. As a self-taught designer, I had to figure everything out the hard way. I thought I had seen it all when I was learning Adobe Photoshop back then in 2012. I discovered Figma four years ago and decided to explore the tool since I had been using Adobe XD and Sketch to create some mockups. When I discovered Figma, I created the prototype I shared in my last post just because it popped into my head when I was in the bathroom 😂. I rushed out and decided to try it immediately, more like a freestyle thing and was never intended to be a real product but could be modified into becoming one if the need arises. But many misunderstood the point, which was using the video to convey a message to other young designers never to skip the process, else you will create the wrong MVP. This woman doesn’t have any arms but it doesn’t stop her from making dinner for her family, for a second I thought she was going to cut herself when cutting peppers but she handled it like a champ. I’ve learned at an early age not to underestimate people with disabilities. Back in college I was classmates with someone that couldn’t use his legs and always was in a wheelchair. That didn’t stop him from pursuing his degree and hanging out with my friends and I and even driving. I recall walking to class in the rain one day, it was a really bad storm and it was cold and miserable, I never carry an umbrella because I thought I was too cool for it but I paid the price for it many times over I’ve should have learned my lesson. So during my walk a minivan pulls over and asks if I wanted a ride, I look over and I see it was him. At that point I never knew any person who could drive without their legs, I didn’t even know it was a thing at the time. Since I was wet and freezing I decided to let him give me a ride which I was thankful for. The van was modified so he could drive with his hands instead of his feet, I was impressed because had I not looked over, I would have never known that it wasn’t a normal driver, the ride was the same as any driver I’ve ever been in the car with. He actually drove better than many of my friends at the time, he was very attentive and careful. Now with so many people distracted by phones and other things. I thought to myself how the roads were safer with better drivers like him.

(long clip & transcription ‼️) 🎭: if i was asked one year ago if i wanted to perform in Concerto, i would've said no. there was a different kind of event that i was asked if i would like to participate and i actually said no to it. because up until recently like a few months ago, i had extremely bad imposter syndrome. 🎭: i didn't feel like i deserved to stand on stage, i didn't feel like i was ready and i kept doubting myself and was like "there's no way i would be able to perform to people's standards and stuff" so i politely declined being in an event a long time ago. 🎭: this time for Concerto when i was asked to participate, i was thinking of the same thing too but i thought about it a little more. i thought to myself like "if you're not gonna participate now then when are you going to do it? if you keep saying no to all these opportunities, they're all going to slip past." so i keep telling myself, "if you're gonna do it now then when are you going to do it?" 🎭: and i was inspired a little by my recent short covers and dance covers because ive been planning to release them for quite a long time actually. just the thought of that made me think, "i'm trying to work so hard on these other things so why don't i just try to do this as well?" 🎭: so i finally decided that i'm going to try this time to step up on stage and i want to be the proof to everyone that works hard that if you work hard eventually something good will come your way 🎭: i want everyone to be able to look at me and be like, "if he can work hard and do what he wants to do, then i can do it too." i think that's one of the biggest reasons i decided to participate and stand on this stage is because i want to inspire people because i came from nothing 🎭: i had no singing experience, no dancing experience, no japanese experience. when i first joined, i didn't even know how to read hiragana very well. i didn't even know wtf katakana was 🎭: i'm always thankful for the love and support everyone gives me. if it wasn't for you guys, i would really have said no so thank you. i really owe everything to all of you that always around and always supporting #knoxclips thank you for not giving up!!!! 😭🧡

On this day, 41 years ago, Terry Gilliam's "Brazil" (1985) was released in the United Kingdom. Terry Gilliam on how he dreamt up 'Brazil' (1985): "1984 was approaching and I thought it was time to do the cautionary tale, to do 1984 for 1984. I haven't actually read Orwell. But, I mean, I know the book. It was more Kafka than Orwell I was thinking of; the atmosphere of Kafka intrigues me more, the inability to get hold of this thing that seems to be controlling or determining your life. It was interesting that the thing ended up being as close to the story of 1984, because I didn't plan it that way. It just seemed to be close to the natural course of events. I had a script that no one was interested in giving me any money for, So I wrote 'Time Bandits' with Michael [Palin], and after the success of that, people said, "Well, now you can really do all sorts of things." They were saying I ought to do something like a follow-up, that it would work well to do another romp. And I figured it was time to do the one that no one would give me any money for."
