I first called on Chief Justice Roberts to adopt a binding code of conduct for all SC Justices 11 years ago. He had his chance to act. He refused. Today, Senate Judiciary Democrats 🇺🇸 advanced a bill that would finally bring SCOTUS ethics requirements in line with other federal officials.

The Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act would bring the Supreme Court Justices’ ethics requirements in line with every other federal judge and restore confidence in the Court.

Supreme Court ethics reform is not a partisan ploy.   It’s what the American people expect of their highest court.   Historians and legal scholars from across the political spectrum agree: our bill is both necessary and well within Congress’s authority.
