I would not calling it fixing. You are just covering up the real issue by overdriving the laser unit. Lowering the pots of course can squeeze out some more use of a dying laser, or cover up not proper calibration, but calling it “fixing” is a stretch

I thought you mean the disc. Hahaha! Just run it under water and dry it off using circular motion on your shirt. Always worked growing up.

Already cooked up another major fix for MGSHDFix 3.1.1. All of MGS2's contrast/color filters have been restored. This missing effect has always been one of the major reasons I preferred the PS2 versions vs HDC/MC. With it fixed, MC is definitely my forever go-to now.
