1)If you are going to fold, why not simply fold the turn. Essentially, you are only calling the turn to draw to 2 outs if your read is correct. 2)You are also beating 88-10s, A7,A5 as well as high card bluffs. You need to be right 46% on river I think, it is a theoretical call.

I have to call in that spot. He's def not checking the flop w/ a big pair. Guy bets the turn and then bets 12K on the river w/ three ducks on board?! Smells like A-5 to me @SaraSmartist. Chalk up another "I hate jacks" story for you and many others...though I don't hate em here

You made your decision on turn. If you thought you had the best hand then, why not after another 2? You called 4k into a 6k pot. Then decided 12k into a 14k pot was too much. I think you showed weakness and should have called. I don’t think he has a higher pair or he’s betting flop. Worst case he has pocket 5’s or 7’s. Thats what I would put him on if I was folding. Clearly check flop then bet turn so you don’t miss out with a full house. Then try to get what you can. But I’m still calling. Show me pocket 7’s or 5’s. Don’t think he’s showing Q’s, K’s, or A’s.

It’s a tricky spot. Since he’s a spaz, and he knows his image, maybe he was trying to trap you with a premium pair better than yours by checking. I would’ve thought he had AK also. Maybe he finally had a hand that beat your jacks and at least you didn’t pay him off, if so.
