I found and enabled a half-finished iPhone Duo simulator in Xcode 27.2 🤯 it doesn't have Duo software yet, but we made a pre-release version of Bitrig (with the 3D model!) if you want to try it out

@fedesanchez0 I had to do some pretty hacky stuff to get this working 😂 the orientation is also wired up weird in 27.2 (you can see in the video that we basically need to rotate apps when you unfold right now)

@josesaezmerino @fedesanchez0 This is why we had to make a Bitrig pre-release copy instead of just telling everyone how to enable it. The wiring for this is pretty complex.

yeah! the device type is in Xcode but they disabled it so it doesn't show up in DeviceHub. I also had to wire up things like switching the active screen when folding/unfolding

Recently met Sasha Rush and he started giving me an impromptu lecture on how targeted on-policy self-distillation works. I asked him if I could record it on my iPhone. The basic idea is this: if the model made a mistake at some point in the rollout (for example, calling a tool that doesn't exist), we want to discourage this specific error, but we don't want to just learn from the final reward, because it's a very noisy signal spread out over the whole trajectory. So we have another model read this trajectory and figure where the error was made. It simply inserts some hint tokens to the part of the trajectory right above where the mistake was made. Now with these injected hint tokens, have the model run a forward pass. You're not having to regenerate a new rollout - aka no new decode required. The hint causes the model to assign lower probabilities to the error tokens. You then trains the original model to match these new probabilities, teaching it to downweight that specific mistake.

There is zero generative AI. This is the exact use of AI that people have wanted. As a tool where artists maintain full art direction. Neural rendering makes creating amazing art with real 3D models easier and more accessible. All 3D artists should be excited. Here is another explanation by Daniel Vávra ⚔ Is this a 3D model? I encourage you to create a 3D model or animation sometime and try it out for yourself, it can be fun creating something!

Day 30 of 30 of our #fitseptember challenge. We have fought a good fight, we have finished the race, we have kept the faith! 1,200 press-ups is not beans. There have been distractions, doubters, ill health, days where we didn’t want to get out of bed and days we didn’t know how we would survive it. But we didn’t give up. We kept going until victory. I thank everyone what has walked this journey with me. I hope that they have found it rewarding not just physically but also in the challenge’s ability to build resilience, perseverance and staying power. Saint Paul said when he had finished the race that there is a crown of righteousness in store for him. I don’t have a crown of righteousness for those that finished this race with me but I can send a little airtime to each of the 45 people that I know walked the entire journey with me, to say THANK YOU! 🙏🏾
