Since I’ve started my journey on social media I’ve had to confront a lot of things about myself and my life, the most difficult ones of all being my trauma and my addictions I was using to cope with that trauma. This year I got serious about recovery and so I’ve really had to face the darkest parts of myself and accept them and learn how to live with myself without turning to temporary comforts to avoid the pain. I made this video as an artistic representation of that journey and how I’ve been coming to terms with myself. It’s not easy and it’s still something that I have to choose every day. I’ve felt like giving up so many times over my lifetime but I know that it’s worth it, because I’ve fought so hard to come this far, and because I know that facing my darkness effects all of you for better or for worse, and I want my impact on the world to be a positive one. You all inspire me every day to keep fighting, keep growing, and to never stop believing in myself.
