My favorite ending for gale (non origin) was honestly the one where he ends up being a professor because he seems genuinely happy and invites Tav to go visit him as a guest lecturer which is something my Tav would absolutely have done

I do wish the earring being removed was in more endings, the good ending could have us give him a new one. If he doesn’t want ill will on Mystra after returning the orb, he at least doesn’t need a constant reminder of his ex hanging from his ear in front of his new spouse.
