Infested chopper was honestly the climax, this was the afterparty. We were fucking dying at the chopper.

Just because you play the game in a boring and monotonous way doesn't mean every else does

and playing like that is slow and gets you bugger all style points. You can cheese enemies and bosses in all the DMC games. Try getting in there with your sword, avoiding the attacks and building up style and you'll find it challenging. The game is mostly fine.

Tbh, it was made in 6 months, managed to have some of the coolest designs in the series, inspired mechanics used in later games, cool for speedrunning, remains canon, and some people grew up with it and it can be fun. No point in bashing this game or those who like it.

I've platinumed/100%ed this game and I will die on the hill that this game isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Downright better than DMC1.

Dmc 2 was the worst out of all of them. 5 made me fall in love again after playing dmc 3. But for the most part, they were all good. And they did a good job on the anime that released recently. One of my favorites next to sekiro

I don’t defend the game but it was the first devil may cry game I played in my childhood and did enjoy it . But I would totally hate it if this was my second devil may cry game .

Even if u try to hack n slash this boss it feels like absolute Hell doing it This game is such a drag with the hack n slashing it basically invites u to just shoot everything and that's just as slow and Hellish too

Meh, different time. A game was released with a physical copy and that was it. No patches, no 'hot fix'. If there was an unintended exploit you just shrugged and admitted the fuck up. Today, your customer bais might as well be the open beta testers.

The only reason I tell people to play 2 when they want to play the series is so that they appreciate every other game like 20 times more.
