MUST WATCH: New footage shows organizers pushing Chicago Public Schools students to vote “yes” on Mayor Brandon Johnson’s $100 million real estate tax hike during a “Parade to the Polls” event held yesterday during school hours. CTU has contributed $400,000 to Bring Chicago Home, which is an advocacy organization created to push Johnson’s tax hike referendum. Illinois Policy immediately filed an ethics complaint with the CPS - Chicago Public Schools ethics office and CPSInspectorGeneral. Per the CPS Code of Ethics, “Employees are permitted to engage in Political Activity on a voluntary basis during non-work hours, vacation, or personal time. Employees are not permitted to engage in Political Activity during any other Board compensated time.” Political activity is defined as: “Preparing for, organizing, or participating in any political meeting, political rally, political demonstration, or other political event.” By asking teachers to prepare for and organize students to participate in the Student Power Forum, which was occurring during school hours and organized by a political group pushing Johnson’s tax hike, it was clear the union was asking members to violate the CPS Code of Ethics. How did the union respond to that complaint? First, they called the Illinois Policy Institute racist for filing it and said it was an attempt at voter suppression. Then they told journalists that Bring Chicago Home was not part of the event and any concerns were part of a right-wing conspiracy. (Note: Figures like Dick Simpson, Laura Washington and Eric Zorn were all calling foul on this as well.) And they told Chicago Public Schools officials that the event would adhere to the district’s ethics policy. But CTU lied to everyone. Using public schools to push a political outcome like this is an attack on the legitimacy of the democratic process. Full stop. Together with Sports Minister MatviiBidnyi we made a statement regarding the football presentation to the FIFA President by young Kyiv footballers. A football can carry hope. Today, FIFA President Gianni Infantino received just such a ball from the students of the "Lokomotiv" Kyiv Football Academy. The ball was delivered to the FIFA President by European Commissioner Glenn Micallef. He emphasized: "These children want to play, live, and dream without fear." For Ukrainian children, football represents the hope for a safe childhood and a normal life. The children of "Lokomotiv" shared what it is like to live under constant shelling. They recalled how, on January 23, a missile destroyed their sports complex. Since then, they have been unable to train at their home base. In their message to Gianni Infantino, the children said: "Fair play means respect for opponents, the rules, and all participants. Russia does not respect these rules. We ask you to support the children of Ukraine who want to play football and live without fear." We stand by the children's appeal. Every day, Russia strikes Ukrainian cities and communities. In March of 2025, an ethics complaint was filed against her thanks to the digging I did into her government spending. Americans for Public Trust (Americans for Public Trust) filed the complaint, related to dance company expenses, with the Office of Congressional Ethics (Office of Congressional Conduct). AOC has been using US tax dollars for her own personal and campaign expenses. Much worse also. We’ll get to that. In the case I cited (that APT filed the complaint about) AOC spent thousands of dollars in federal funds on DANCE LESSONS for herself and constituents. That’s either a personal or campaign expense. It’s not a congressional one. And that’s unethical if not criminal. AOC responded to my post about it and said the document I referenced was an FEC filing, but that’s a lie. It was the MRA (Members’ Representational Allowance). Those are federal funds allotted to members of Congress. The information detailing the expenditures is all publicly available and archived. Most people don’t bother to go through it. But I did. And the expenses I discovered were from late 2024. Just imagine what else AOC has been inappropriately using federal funds for. In this post is a news report that discussed AOC’s ethics violation having to do with the dance lessons. But AOC has done much worse. She’s used campaign funds to employ illegals, and even used FEDERAL FUNDS to employ ILLEGALS as part of her congressional staff. So like I said, AOC is in a lot of trouble. The information is already out there. Just search online for “house statement of disbursements.” The government site will come up and you can see everything. Download the files and pour over the expenses. You’ll find all sorts of waste, fraud, and abuse by members of Congress. You have the power. AOC can’t escape this. She’s already made the unethical and possibly criminal expenditures. She’s not smart either. And even the smartest people can only get away with evil for so long before they’re caught. Ethically, she should have to personally pay back the money she wrongly spent for personal use. AOC should get herself a good lawyer. I suggest she doesn’t pay for them with federal funds. And finally, AOC should resign from Congress. She knows what she’s done, it’s bad, and it’s all going to come out.

The month of July has been a busy one with much of the compliance with the AEC and ATO from the 2025 Federal Election being completed. I have also caught up with many of the volunteers and party donors who helped contribute to our Federal campaign. The first of many branch meetings for People First has also been organised for August. We will continue to hold more branch meetings across regional Queensland and across other states before the end of the year. We have also set up a number of People First chat groups in other states to facilitate dialogue and engagement amongst party members. If you are a member of the party and would like to participate in these chat groups with a view to being part of a branch executive, please email me your location at contact@peoplefirstparty.au I plan to travel to NSW, Victoria and South Australia with a view to organising branches and engaging with members throughout the rest of the year. I have taken a month off from social media. After almost seven continuous years (including my time as a Senate candidate) of posting numerous posts a day I needed a break from social media. While social media is an important avenue to get the message out there, it is not the end in itself if we don't seek to resolve the issues we are concerned about. I have also encountered problems with Meta who are not allowing me to remove the word Senator from my Facebook page. This of course is extremely frustrating, and I hope to resolve this issue soon. I will resume posting on social media this month. I have also applied to the AEC to change the name of the party from Gerard Rennick People First to People First Party. The AEC has replied saying I have to get permission from Family First as they consider the word "First" an exclusive word. I will keep you posted on this front. Thanks to everyone who has signed up to become a member of the party and for your patience in what may seem a quiet time, but in fact has been quite busy.
