I guess I didn't realize cockroaches literally live inside electronic devices. Secondly what an indictment on how someone lives at home. People have no shame.

Even in a spotless home you can get these in electronics (maybe not these filth roaches, but bugs of all types). I open and search all CRTs or electronics I get in now for bugs. Even have a spot in the garage for bug inspections.

Opened a thermostat up because I suspected a dead short in 24v wires and sure enough, roaches. Section 8 housing, Chester City PA.

They are attracted to the warmth. I used be a commercial exterminator in NYC. Cockroaches live anywhere and everywhere in structures, especially commercial kitchens. You don't want to know. 😉

I hate roaches, man. Ever since I was a kid at a football game and one flew into my face. Awful bugs. Still, I'd exterminate ticks or mosquitos before them, but they're on the list.

To be fair, they love electronics and you can get them even in a nice clean home.

You can get them through sewer lines if a nieghbors house is infected. The water in a PTrap or toilet does nothing to stop them.

I worked in a place that serviced automotive electronics. We'd get car radios and cluster panels with roaches. Maybe worry about your roach problem before getting your radio fixed.
