I had a first time experience this week. I commented on an Instagram post in support of a Christian woman who chose life for her sick unborn baby after doctors pushed for abortion. A pro-choice commenter then insulted me by calling me a “Jesus freak.” What happened in my head:

My mother adopted me after I was abandoned on her doorstep—25 years later, after I had become successful, my biological mother appeared out of nowhere. When my mom was young, she had a serious accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. The doctors told her she would never walk again and that she would never be able to have children.
